Courses and workshops for adults with learning disabilities

We work in partnership with many organisations in the local community to offer a diverse range of courses, projects, and workshops for people with all levels of learning disabilities.

Enjoy learning and discovering new skills

From Ceramics to Cookery, Ice Skating to Football, we offer a wide variety of courses to get involved in. Take a look at our easy read guide here.

Taking part in our courses is a brilliant way to make new friends and meet others who share your interests.

Whether you’re looking to develop an existing skill or learn something completely new, we have plenty of courses for you to try.

Sarah, Annette and Lee, our friendly Adults with Learning Disabilities (ALD) team are on hand to help you get the most out of your course, so don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions about our provision.

We offer practical courses that can help you lead an independent and enriched life

You can learn how to cook delicious meals to keep you warm in the colder months in our winter cookery courses; start to live a healthier life by joining our gym sessions lead by a fully qualified fitness instructor, or increase your digital skills and employability in our practical skills for work and life courses where we’ll show you how to write your CV and how to make a great first impression at interviews.

If you’re looking for something a bit more recreational, take a look at our ice-skating courses run at the Oxford Skating Rink and football training programme supported by the Oxford United in the community.

Contact Annette.powell@Abingdon-witney.ac.uk to book a place on one our courses.
