We offer the Architectural Joiner Level 2 and Level 3 Apprenticeship, and the Site Carpenter Level 2 and Level 3 Apprenticeship.
As a Carpenter and Joiner, you will work with building materials to create and install building components. You could work in either the new build or refurbishment sector, working to bring life back into old properties or create new homes.
Through our apprenticeships you can train to go down two different routes: either training to become a site carpenter, installing building components; or an architectural joiner, producing building components.
As a Carpenter and Joiner apprentice you will learn how to create and install building components.
This typically involves shaping and cutting materials, installing finished materials like partitions, doors, staircases, window frames, moldings, timber floor coverings, and erecting structural components such as floor joists and roofs.
As you develop your practical skills, you will also learn how to work safely, understanding the key principles of health and safety required for the job.
You will be taught how to effectively work in a team, concisely communicate, and plan to undertake work productively, interpreting information from drawings and specifications.
Once trained, you will have the skills and knowledge to work in either a workshop or on a construction site.
