We offer both the Auto-care Technician apprenticeship, and the Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician apprenticeship.
Through our Motor Vehicle apprenticeships, you can get hands-on experience of servicing and maintaining cars and vans at either a dealership or independent garage.
When you’re not learning on the job, you will be based at our Abingdon Campus, learning all the skills you need in our multi-bay garage and training facility.
On a Motor Vehicle apprenticeship, you will be taught how to work on all systems found within a vehicle; from replacing simple parts through to solving complex faults with the use of diagnostic methods and equipment.
You will learn the fundamentals of specific vehicle systems, including steering & suspension, braking systems, battery & charging systems, and exhaust systems.
You will also develop your technical knowledge, looking at areas such as 4-wheel geometry principles, and electric circuit requirements and calculations.
Alongside developing your practical and technical skills, you will also develop essential knowledge of consumer legislation, appropriate health & safety, and general sales principles.
