This year’s West Oxfordshire Learning Partnership (WOLP) Careers Fair attracted over 1,000 visitors from the local area on January 29, hosted at the College’s Witney campus.
The WOLP is made up of 8 schools and colleges: Abingdon & Witney College, Bartholomew School, Burford School, Carterton Community College, Chipping Norton School, Henry Box School, Marlborough School and Wood Green School.
More than 60 local, national and international employers and exhibitors showcased their career and educational opportunities, covering a variety of sectors including engineering, health and social care, public services and accounting.
There were further talks on post-16 options from the College and Burford School, apprenticeships from Oxfordshire Apprenticeships and a higher education talk from Oxford Brookes University.
This was the first time that the WOLP Careers Fair was hosted at Abingdon & Witney College, having followed the Abingdon campus equivalent back in October 2018, for the Abingdon Consortium for Education and local residents.
