We are delighted to welcome The High Sheriff Awards back to our College! We are really looking forward to hosting budding engineers from schools and colleges across Oxfordshire, hearing about their innovations and designs and helping them on their way to building us all a sustainable and greener future.
The High Sheriff Awards, which recognise excellence in engineering, design and technology and resistant materials will take place on the evening of 27 June at our Abingdon campus.
Sponsored by The Lucy Group, which aims to improve people’s lives through sustainable housing, smart lighting and intelligent power, each category winner will win a £400 Amazon voucher and £1,000 for their school or college to spend on technology equipment. Second and third will win a £200 and £100 voucher. Categories are Years 8/9, Years 10/11 and Years 12/13, so the Awards are open to budding engineers aged 12-18.
The judging panel will include Richard Dick of The Lucy Trust, the Oxfordshire High Sheriff, Mark Beard of Mark Beard Construction and representatives of the Engineering Trust.
Good luck to all the entrants!
