We know the challenges facing many of our students - and potential students - that travelling around Oxfordshire presents and we are delighted that we will be able to offer students in Blackbird Leys, Rose Hill, east Oxford and Oxford city centre a direct bus service to Abingdon campus.
Starting in September, the X1-C1 route, commissioned with Thames Travel, will provide a vital link for students in Oxford with the huge range of courses provided at Abingdon.
Principal & Chief Executive, Jacqui Canton, said:
“I am absolutely delighted to confirm that we have agreed a partnership with Thames Travel to offer a direct bus route from Blackbird Leys to the Abingdon campus, via East Oxford, Oxford and Rose Hill. This will mean that our brand new Green Construction Skills Centre, as well as our state of the art motor vehicle and engineering workshops are easily accessible for students from Oxford. ”
It is really important to us that all students across Oxfordshire are able to access the very highest quality training and broadening the options available to everyone can only be of benefit.
The route will operate once a day each way during term time and we look forward to welcoming many students from these areas to our Abingdon campus.
