Gas safe engineering partnership with Anton by Crowcon

26th Jun 2022

Sometimes, the companies that have the biggest influence on our lives are not big names Microsoft or Apple or Google but companies you have probably never heard of, but whose products are vital to our everyday lives.

Anton by Crowcon is one such company. Abingdon-based but with branches around the world, Anton by Crowcon keeps us safe every day with their analytic instruments which detect dangerous and harmful levels of gas in the atmosphere.

The chances are that, every time you have your gas boiler serviced, the engineer is using one of their products to check for harmful levels of gas or carbon monoxide. During Covid, hospital staff used their products to ensure that oxygen levels in intensive care units did not reach explosive levels should a cylinder develop a leak.

Now, our students at Bicester Construction Skills Centre have the chance to use some of their state-of-the-art products as part of their gas safety courses. The company has supplied five Sprint Pro Kit B flue gas analysers and three Crowcon Clip personal CO detectors to the college as the first step on what we are sure will be a fruitful partnership of great benefit to our students.

Anton by Crowcon’s National Account Manager, Rob Anderson, said: “It is a privilege to deliver equipment and learning to future generations of gas engineers and working with Abingdon & Witney College is key to delivering this. Anton by Crowcon are incredibly proud to work in partnership with Abingdon & Witney College Bicester Construction Skills Site - we are very impressed with the modern training facilities and the expert tuition provided by Mark French and his team”.

Head of Bicester Construction Skills Centre, Mark French, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be entering into a partnership with Anton by Crowcon. Safety is of paramount importance in this industry and it is so important that we support our apprentices to understand that as early as possible in their careers. A key principle of the Bicester Construction Skills Centre is the quality of our training, so partnering with such a high quality organisation as Anton by Crowcon, and enabling our students to be able to use their equipment, reinforces what we are all about. We look forward to building a long-lasting partnership with Crowcon”.
