One of the most important roles in the retrofit process is that of the Retrofit Assessor. If you are an existing Domestic Energy Assessor or thinking of becoming one, then the Retrofit Assessor course is a logical progression in order to work at the forefront of domestic retrofit.
Abingdon & Witney College is the registered provider for The Retrofit Academy CIC Oxon & Bucks.

The Level 4 Award in Domestic Retrofit Assessment enables you to survey properties and prepare a report in-line with a Retrofit Coordinator’s requirements. The report includes a full EPC, a ventilation and occupancy assessment and a condition survey. If you enjoy envestigating all aspects of a domestic dwelling and provide information that will inform the decsions on what energy improvements can be made then this course is for you.

There are 29 guided learning hours plus assessments to complete. You can expect to need 76 hours across the six-week duration of the course.

What next?
Depending on experience and other qualifications you may develop further skills as a Retrofit Coordinator or take some of our other skills based courses.
Entry criteria
The minimum requirement for all methods of study is a Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) qualification.
