WCAG 2.1 Accessibility Statement
We want everyone who visits the Abingdon & Witney College website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding, going above and beyond the The Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018.
What are we doing?
To help us make the Abingdon & Witney College website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.
The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the Abingdon & Witney College website.
How are we doing?
We are satisfied that our website achieves our current goal of Level AA accessibility, but we realise there are a few areas that still need improving. The following information outlines these areas and explains what we're doing to improve accessibility and user experience:
1.2.5: Audio Description (Prerecorded)
For video content hosted on our website that has been created by the College, we will be creating transcripts/captions to meet accessibility issues.
2.5.4: Motion Actuation
This website does not currently use motion-sensitive functionality or content. Upon hosting any motion-sensitive content in the future, we shall ensure this is fully functional for users with accessibility issues.
