Biography
I have worked for Abingdon & Witney College for over 15 years [originally working for West Oxfordshire College] in a number of roles.
I am the current Head of Occupational Health and Safety, a role that allows me to move around the College’s sites and meet and work with staff from every level and Department – this is a real pleasure! I have the responsibility to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all the staff, the Board, the students (when they are both on- and off-site), visitors and contractors – a challenge but one that I get up each morning looking forward to facing.
I am a very proud Yorkshireman who is very family focused; this year (2018) I will have been married to Susan for 34 years. Ours is an educational family, with my daughter teaching music in the Peaks and my son taking up a lecturing post at Oxford Brookes University.
