Thinking of coming to college? Not sure what course is best for you? Come along to one of our College Taster Events.
Our Taster Events are a brilliant opportunity to get an insight into what studying with us could be like. Come along to see our facilities, meet your future tutors and get an overview of what you can study. It’s a great opportunity to get your questions answered and see how studying a college course could differ from school learning.
Our Taster Events are open to Year 10 and Year 11 students who are either considering applying, or who have already applied to join us.

FAQs
What if I can’t see the subject I am looking for?
We will be adding new Taster Events over the coming week, so if you cannot see the subject you are interested in, please check back in a few days.
I’m unsure what I want to study, how many Taster Events can I book onto?
You are welcome to book onto 2 different Taster Events.
What if the Taster Event I want to attend is fully booked?
Where possible, we will try to add additional events to accommodate everyone. Please email Marea Brown, contact details above, to register your interest.
What do I need to do on the day?
On arrival, please go to the campus reception and let them know you are here for a Taster Event. Your Tutor will come and meet you.
What do I need to bring
on the day?
We won’t expect you to bring anything for these Events, so don’t worry about
having the right kit! Some of our Tasters can be a few hours, so you are
welcome to bring a snack and drink if you like.
What if I feel anxious about coming into College?
Don’t worry! A lot of people feel anxious about attending these kind of events, and you’ll be with other students who are likely feeling the same.
Our Taster Events are designed for small groups so that it won’t feel overwhelming. Our staff are very used to welcoming students who may be feeling anxious. They’ll do their utmost to make you feel comfortable.
What if I am ill on the day?
If you are unable to attend your Taster Event, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer your place to someone else. Please email Marea Brown, contact details above.
