This course offers learners to take time to relax and gently replenish your energy and enjoyment of life with this specialist yoga class. It is open to anyone who wants to follow a gentle but effective exercise regime. It is also suitable for people who have not exercised for some time, have a chronic condition or who are recovering from illness or injury.
Using yoga postures to gently stretch, relax and refresh the body. Learn relaxation techniques that can be used in daily life to manage stress levels and improve wellbeing. Increase body awareness and work on balance using a combination of gentle yoga, stretches and breathing techniques to increase wellbeing. You will be given the opportunity to explore the links to other forms of exercise and therapies as well as simple relaxation techniques to improve rest and sleep.
A gentle class for those who wish to improve their mobility and lower stress levels. The class is mainly seated but there is an optional 10 minute standing stretches, followed by a deep relaxation. Standing work will be carried out in bare feet or in yoga socks.
