This course is aimed at beginners with some experience and is designed as a jump-start into performing some popular tunes and to help overcome the most common challenges. Join this entertaining, informative and inspiring course and get your ukulele playing going in a friendly group setting.
On this course you will learn the basics that you need to play popular tunes on a ukulele.
You will further develop these skills:• Correct hand placement and posture• Tuning an acoustic ukulele• Introduction to music notation mainly TAB and chord diagram – some information on music staff reading)• Basic ukulele chords• Basic techniques
By the end of this course you will be able to:• Play along with some modern songs• Read TAB music and chord charts• Have an understanding of the ukulele fretboard• Have a basic understanding of music theory Please note, you will need to bring your own ukulele. There will be no teaching sessions on 04/06/2021 and 09/07/2021
