It is planned that this course will be running online, using Teams, for the Autumn Term. This may change, depending on Government guidelines.
The aim of this course is to help students to express themselves with fluency, spontaneity and effortlessly. We will work so students use the right expression, suitable to different situations and contexts, social, workplace, academic…. Also, students will aim to use the language with grammatical accuracy, precision and flexibility.
In this course, we will work on the four skills (listening, speaking, writing and reading). We will look at relevant topics and current affairs in great detail such as technology, the digital era and the impact on our lives or the environment but we will also work with different literary works by Spanish and South American authors as well as discuss cultural events or news from Spanish speaking countries. Grammar will also be studied from connectors to subordinate sentences, conditionals, the subjunctive or the use of the passive voice.
