This is a specialist programme designed for students with SEND needs who wish to develop their skills and independence for adult and working life.

The range of subjects and activities within the curriculum offered include: - Maths and English Functional Skills as appropriate - Sports activities and healthy living - Independent living skills. - Awareness of the world of work and work experience
Assessments are carried out during the student's final year at school through visits arranged by the college's Transition Worker. Students will be invited to attend taster days at the college in the summer term to ensure that Pathways is the right starting point for them. A place will be offered depending on the outcome of the assessment and taster days.
It is anticipated that students will have a current Education Health and Care Plan. College are likely to be consulted by the Local Authority about whether a place can be offered but you will also need to apply for a place to the college.
Further assessments take place during the student's first term at college in order to confirm Pathway placement.

Personalised according to learners' needs
Students might progress to Fast Forward, Supported Internship or a package of Adult Social Care.
No formal entry requirements are necessary but students are likely to have an EHCP and should demonstrate the ability to work at entry level in English and Maths including developing greater independence within a supported environment.
There will be a small weekly fee for cookery ingredients.

Due to COVID-19 we are not currently planning any trips as part of your course. If we are able to organise trips during your course, the cost of these will be communicated to you at the time. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate. Bursaries may also available to cover the cost of some trips.
