This course is designed for students who have SEND needs. Students will have an aspiration to work at some point in the future.

The range of subjects and activities within the curriculum offered include:
- Maths and English Functional Skills as appropriate
- Keeping healthy and safe
- Developing independence skills
- Employability skills
- Work Experience
-Preparation for Adulthood

Assessments are carried out during the student's final year at school. It will be necessary to request that a student attends an interview at the college. A place will be offered depending on the outcome of the assessment and interview. A link programme is offered during the Summer term prior to the student leaving school.

It is anticipated that students will have a current Education Health and Care Plan. College are likely to be consulted by the Local Authority about whether a place can be offered but you will also need to apply for a place to the college.

Further assessments take place during the student's first term at college in order to confirm Pathway placement.

Students might progress to Fast Forward, work or a Supported Internship
There are no formal entry requirements however students (usually with an EHCP) will be required to attend an interview to confirm their suitability for the course.
There will be a small weekly fee for cookery ingredients.

Due to COVID-19 we are not currently planning any trips as part of your course. If we are able to organise trips during your course, the cost of these will be communicated to you at the time. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate. Bursaries may also available to cover the cost of some trips.
