This is a specialist programme designed for students with SEND needs who wish to develop their skills and independence for adult and working life.
The range of subjects and activities within the curriculum offered include: - Maths and English Functional Skills leading to an accredited qualification as appropriate - Keeping healthy and safe - Developing independence skills - Preparation for the world of work- Preparing for Adulthood Assessments are carried out during the student's final year at school. Student will be invited to attend taster days at the college in the summer term to ensure that Pathway 4 is the right starting point for them. A place will be offered depending on the outcome of the assessment and and taster days. It is anticipated that students will have a current Education Health and Care Plan. College are likely to be consulted by the Local Authority about whether a place can be offered but you will also need to apply for a place to the college. Further assessments take place during the student's first term at college in order to confirm Pathway 4 placement.
