This course is for young adults who have a range of SEND needs. It is designed as a transition towards indpendence and life beyond College. Where possible, learners will have less dependance on support and will explore options available to them in the wider community. Other elements of the course are designed to support keeping healthy and safe and to encourage greater social confidence.

The curriculum offer is personalised and may include speech and language therapy. During the course students are encouraged to develop self awareness and independence skills using the local community as well as taking part in our Social Enterpise, the Propeller Project.

Students are approprately supported based on their EHCP's . However they will work towards reducing this level of support when appropriate.

Assessments are carried out during the student's final year at school. A place will be offered depending on the outcome of the assessments. A link programme is offered during the summer term prior to the student leaving school.

Students will need a current Education Health and Care Plan. College are likely to be consulted by the Local Authority about whether a place can be offered but you will also need to apply for a place to the college.

Further assessments take place during the student's first term at college in order to confirm Pathway placement.

There are no entry requirements. Students on this programme are likely to have progressed from their Pathways programme
There will be a small weekly fee for cookery ingredients.
