Keeping you safe
So far this year, we have had to make adjustments to our normal arrangements for teaching, learning and assessment to implement government public health advice in order to protect the health and safety of staff, students and the public. As those adjustments will continue throughout the duration of this health emergency, it is important that you understand what this may mean for the delivery of your programme in 2020/2021.
We are planning for three possible scenarios: wholly in person, wholly online and a combination of the two. Which scenario is used for delivery will be different depending on the circumstances and the content of the programme.
Any face-to-face teaching will be delivered following guidelines on social distancing and increased health and safety measures. Students will be made fully aware of the current measures in place and be expected to follow the guidance issued.
In the case of a further lockdown, delivery will be wholly online. For programmes where online delivery is not possible, the course will be postponed until a later date in the academic year. The balance between lectures and self-learning will not change. Whichever scenario is in force, you will still receive the advertised amount of contact time. If there is going to be a change from the advertised location of your programme (for example from physical attendance at one of our campuses to online delivery), we will ensure you are kept fully informed.
