It is planned that this course will be running online, using Teams, for the Autumn Term. This may change, depending on Government guidelines.
This is for those who have a sound basis of Hiragana and Katakana and are also able to read at least 30 Kanji. You will have completed at least one year of study or the beginners courses previously offered. This course is about moving deeper into all things Japanese.
You will learn both Kana scripts and more Kanji characters will be introduced. You will be able to start to develop deeper conversations and a deeper understanding of protocol through demonstrations and practical exercises. You will already be able to understand conversations now you will push on to normal speed conversations including discussions around news and newspaper headlines and alternative phrases that can be used for the same situation. This is about learning natural Japanese.
