Do you enjoy helping others? Would you like to make a positive difference to the lives of service users? A career in health and social care is both challenging and fulfilling. This course provides the basics for working within a wide range of settings such as schools and care homes, with a variety of care users, from children to the elderly. Transition Programmes are a brand new type of qualification designed to prepare young people for the Health or Education and Early Years L3 T Levels, to progress to an Apprenticeship or to study an alternative level 3 qualification. The Extended Certificate includes 8 units. In addition, work experience is a compulsory part of the qualification. As part of your study programme you will be working towards improving your maths and English skills, attend work placements and take part in enrichment activities.

You have differnet options. You can progress to the T Level in Dogotal Design and Development, apply for an apprenticeship or study an alternative L3 qualification in Further Education.
Minimum of 4 GCSEs grade 3 (including 2 of the 3 in English/maths/a science), clean DBS and reference check
In addition to the main cours efees given below thre is an additiojal cost of £65 for kit/clothing, £25 for a course trip and £25 for books.(Costs are given for guidance only.)

Due to COVID-19 we are not currently planning any trips as part of your course. If we are able to organise trips during your course, the cost of these will be communicated to you at the time. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate. Bursaries may also available to cover the cost of some trips.
