A course intended for those who have attended a family history beginner’s course or have been doing family history for a while and are familiar with the basics but want to look at records that can add more in-depth knowledge about ancestors. Being able to access more unusual record collections and resources to assist in individual research and use recording methods to show the life stories of ancestors.
This course continues to develop more in-depth knowledge of genealogy. Subjects covered may include records relating to divorce, wills, military, education, Poor Law, the workhouse, migration, work and occupations, hospitals and asylums. There will be the opportunity to do your own research online with the assistance of an experienced researcher.
There are vending machines available where hot/cold drinks and snacks can be purchased. In order to reduce the use of single-use plastic water bottles/cups, there are watercoolers on site making it easy to refill your water bottle.
There is no parking on site during the day. Please use Marriotts Walk or Woodford Way Car Parks, which are a few minutes’ walk away.Please report to Reception on arrival.
