Social media is the connective tissue of the digital landscape. Over the years, businesses of all sizes and sectors have begun to understand this and use social for their own strategical means, joining in on the connections, conversations, and knowledge sharing that takes place every day.
Whether it's building brand awareness or selling products, developing a cohesive and relevant social marketing strategy should be integral to any business' wider company goals.
This course is aimed at anyone who wants to understand Social Media for Business better and post with confidence. Great if you are thinking about up-skilling and want to move into this direction for your career or if you have a small business or if you want to see if this is a direction you would be interested in pursuing. You will be posting with confidence, creating content and exploring how you can optime your channels to grow.

Course Content Week 1: An introduction to social media engagement.• Where are we now? Looking at the current landscape of social channels.• Getting ready to post, looking at design, values and presenting yourself visually and starting to think about your brand in relation to content creation. • Introduction to understanding engagement.
Week 2: Facebook• How FB works, its influence and suitability.• Best Practice in posting
Week 3: Instagram• How IG works, its influence and suitability.• Best Practice in posting
Week 4: LinkedIn• How LinkedIn works, its influence and suitability.• Best Practice in posting• Week 5: Twitter• How Twitter works, its influence and suitability.• Best Practice in posting• Week 6: Strategy & Implementation• Building and developing implementation strategy for your business/service.• How to do a Social Media Audit.
Materials Required
A computer, access to internet, mobile phone. You will need to sign up to Canva or Spark to create content, both are free.
