This Level 3 course provides the opportunity to study a wide range of business units and achieve a nationally recognised, vocationally relevant qualification. As well as the study of general business units, there will be units covering administration, finance, human resources, management or marketing. Students will develop their English and maths, undertake work placement and have the opportunity to participate in visits, residential and vocational projects with local employers.

You will work collaboratively with local employers and entrepreneurs on projects and assignments that will have real impact, for example, developing a new visual merchandising strategy for local retail outlets.
You will be taught by business specialist lecturers who have all had successful careers in industry including corporate banking, marketing and human resources.

Many students have progressed onto Foundation Degrees and Honors Degrees in Business related discipline, apprenticeships or employment following completion of the programme.
Joining this study programme is subject to a satisfactory interview and the following achievements:
At least 5 x GCSE grade 4 or above including either English or maths, or at least achievement of a merit at a full Level 2 qualification and GCSE grade 4 or above in English or maths.
In addition to the main course fees given below you will also need to purchase a workbook and revision book for approximately £28. Study trips and visits linked to modules will be arranged as part of your programme of study. These normally include an induction trip and visits to retail outlets and large business organisations. Due to COVID-19 we are not currently planning any trips as part of your course. If we are able to organise trips during your course, the cost of these will be communicated to you at the time. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate. Bursaries may also available to cover the cost of some trips.
