This high level accounting course completes the internationally recognised AAT qualification.

A wide range of topics are covered during this course including financial statements, budgets, financial performance and personal tax, amongst others.

Modules of study include:
• Financial Statements for Limited Companies
• Management Accounting: Decisions and Control
• Budgeting
• Credit Management
• Personal Tax
• Accounting Systems and Controls
Successful students with appropriate work experience will be able to apply for membership of the AAT, progress to ACCA or apply to university.
Level 3 AAT Diploma in Accounting or equivalent. Students without formal qualifications but with significant relevant experience are encouraged to apply and will be offered a short interview. A good standard of English and maths is required. Applicants should either be employed in an accountancy role or have had recent experience.

Extra Costs; Students will require text books to support their study within each unit.

AAT registration is required to sit the examinations. This includes £41 one-off initial registration administration fee and £90 subscription fee (payable yearly). This is paid directly to AAT.

The exam fees for a first sitting are included in the tuition fee. However, resits are charged at the relevant AAT exam entry fee plus a £10 Abingdon & Witney College admin fee.

Due to COVID-19 we are not currently planning any trips as part of your course. If we are able to organise trips during your course, the cost of these will be communicated to you at the time. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate. Bursaries may also available to cover the cost of some trips.

AAT Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting
The course runs in two formats to meet the needs of our learners. One option is to attend for one day per week during term time, or a second option is to attend two evenings a week during term time. During this time, you will be taught within a range of teaching and learning environments which will include lectures, workshops and seminars.

Students can expect to spend a further 10-15 hours per week outside of their normal timetabled day in order to complete the requirements of the programme.

All staff delivering on the course have professional accounting qualifications and substantial experience of working within a relevant sector.
